What We Do
Community Action is honored to offer the Forward Program to the Northwest Alabama community. The Forward Program is a 6 week work force ready program with a 12 week parenting class included. This program helps create career ready individuals, while providing effective parenting skills.
This program pays hourly stipends to participants as they earn workforce certifications.
Qualifications:
1. Applicant must be Unemployed or Under-employed. Under-employed is someone who makes $11/hr or less.
2. Applicant must have a child 18 or younger.
3. 200% of Federal Poverty Guideline.
4. Lack skills training certifications.
